Honey Helps was founded with two key goals:
1.
To do more than just sell honey. Most large-scale bee farmers sell to co-ops that blend and distribute their honey under big brand labels. While that’s a fine business model, we wanted to take a different approach—one that supports schools and organizations while glorifying God.
2.
As dads of young kids, we were frustrated with fundraisers. We loved supporting great causes, but let’s be honest—who really needs more cookie dough or wrapping paper? We wanted a better option, and that’s how Honey Helps was born.
It is our mission to glorify God by utilizing nature’s finest work – honey through educating, supporting and assisting schools, churches and other worthy causes in maximizing their fundraising efforts.
"Five years ago we selected Honey Helps rather than our Annual Walkathon fundraiser and our profits increased 5 Fold our very first year"
"The Honey Helps App is so easy - it makes both the selling and distribution of honey fun and amazingly simple"
"Honey Helps has been an excellent way for our school to raise funds. We have tried other fundraising methods, but Honey Helps surpasses them all. They offer very attractive profit margins with a healthy alternative compared to other fundraising products. Our students find it fun and easy to sell this product. The company is reputable and offers great customer support. If you want a successful fundraiser, Honey Helps is the answer."
It is our vision to passionately pursue a most noble course of providing the preferred option in fundraising, with an exceptional financial benefit, to the greatest number of people utilizing healthy desirable products.
At Honey Helps, we believe in making fundraising simple, fun and risk-free. That’s why there are absolutely NO upfront or out-of-pocket costs for your organization. Participating in a Honey Helps fundraiser creates a win-win for everyone involved. Customers receive an all-natural, delicious sweetener—a wholesome alternative to sugar and other processed products.
At the same time, the fundraiser supports students as they step out of their comfort zones to make a difference. By engaging in sales, students gain valuable interpersonal and communication skills that will serve them well in future careers. Supporting these efforts means contributing not only to a meaningful cause but also to the personal growth and development of our youth.
Our premium honey is sustainably produced in the picturesque region of west-central Minnesota. Here, Honey Helps’ dedicated families and team members carefully manage approximately 1,500 colonies of honeybees, fostering a harmonious relationship with the environment while prioritizing the health and well-being of our pollinators.
What sets our honey apart is the natural journey it takes from hive to jar. Our honeybees begin their pollination cycle in the spring with dandelions, transition to clover in early summer, and finish with Basswood (Lindenwood) trees in late summer. This progression results in a delicately light-colored golden honey, often referred to as 'white honey.'
Our honey is also proudly RAW, meaning it is minimally processed—never heat-treated or pasteurized—and undergoes a straining process - allowing more of the pollen to remain in the honey. This ensures our honey remains as pure and natural as it is when it leaves the honeycomb, delivering a truly authentic experience.
Our hardworking honeybees begin producing honey in the spring, continuing their efforts through late summer. During the special 'honey flow' period—lasting a few weeks when blooming flowers are at their peak—our bees produce the highest volumes of honey. After harvesting by hand, the honey is carefully transported to our honey house, where it is extracted and bottled with care.
Because our honey is raw and unprocessed, it has an indefinite shelf life. Over time, natural crystallization may occur, but a gentle warm water bath will restore its smooth texture, ensuring you can enjoy its pure and natural goodness.
Raw honey is nature’s unspoiled treasure, retaining the full spectrum of nutrients and antioxidants that are often diminished in heavily processed alternatives. Just as raw fruits and vegetables provide greater nutritional value than their cooked counterparts, raw honey delivers superior benefits.
Unlike processed honey, our raw honey is not heat-treated or pasteurized. It undergoes a straining process to remove small pieces of honeycomb and debris, allowing more of the pollen to remain in the honey, ensuring a pure, natural product while preserving its authentic goodness. Enjoy honey as it’s meant to be—straight from the hive, rich in flavor, and packed with health benefits.
Honey is a natural powerhouse, rich in essential vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and antioxidants. However, when it comes to relieving seasonal allergies, the evidence is less promising.
Studies conducted by the National Institutes of Health indicate no significant symptom relief, even among test groups consuming larger quantities of raw honey. Additionally, an investigation by Food Safety News revealed that 75% of honey from a major retailer contained no pollen, which is a key element associated with the idea of allergy relief.
Most leading allergists agree that consuming honey has minimal to no impact on alleviating seasonal allergies. While it may not address allergies, raw honey remains a wholesome and nutritious sweetener to enjoy.
